The Volunteer

I have been involved with a number of volunteering organisations over my time at University including the below…

University of Gloucestershire Students’ Union
Trustee on the Students’ Union until June 2011. Whilst in this role was on the trustee board and attended board meetings, steering the Students’ Union and helping decide its future. Along side this ran a number of campaigns and worked with the Education and Welfare Officer.

IT Schools Africa
Whilst at the University volunteered at IT Schools Africa. To make the best use of skills investigated as to where they needed assistance, in the role at the charity migrated them to a gigabyte network, installed backup servers and services and assisted with meeting the needs of a network distribution software platform.
